Fresno City College storms to CVC title, earns No. 4 regional seed
Fresno City College women's basketball left no doubt about its superiority in the Central Valley Conference, rolling to a dominant 79-37 victory over Porterville College to clinch the outright conference title.
From the opening tip, the Rams set the tone with relentless defense and crisp ball movement, overwhelming the Pirates on both ends of the floor.
By halftime, Fresno City had already built a commanding lead, fueled by a swarming press and efficient scoring in transition.
Sarah Shein led the charge, pouring in 14 points to pace a balanced Fresno City attack.
The victory positioned Fresno City for the postseason.
The Rams earned the No. 4 seed in the California Community College Athletic Association Northern California regionals and will host a second-round matchup Saturday against the winner of No. 13 Skyline and No. 20 Taft.
